Anybody Ever Bought One of These Helmets?
« on: September 24, 2007, 10:22:52 AM »
This guy has some pretty cool cafe style helmets, among others.  I was wondering if anyone has ever bought from him?  I want one of those little half helmets with the goggles.  [I'll probably chunk the goggles, but I like the helmets.

Maybe a black one with the black and white checkerboard.  He's got pretty good feedback, but I was still wondering if anyone here had any experience with this vendor, of if anyone knew any alternative sellers with similar cafe style helmets.  I know Davida makes some, but they are pretty high priced.

I bought a similar helmet , but i don't think it was the same seller.
They are basically plastic Japanese scooter helmets, very flimsy, but
still, good looking. I have an old Davida, and side-by side, you can
easily see the difference.
Bikes parked out front mean good chicken-fried steak inside.

Check out www.jafrum.com
Look at the left menu bar and look for HCI 50 Series Retro/Vintage Motorcycle Helmets. These are DOT approved and are like $40.

Those are pretty nice.  I wonder if you can unzip the ear flaps.  That site is temporarily down right now, but I will check back to see how much shipping will be.  Thanks for the tip.

Anyone else have any links or suggestions.

I love these sort of helmets but you're not insured while wearing these in the Netherlands.  :'(
Grtz.

What I can't believe is that for the money that you pay, the Davida helmets are not DOT approved.
