Sparty's new engine is in the HOUSE!
« on: August 19, 2007, 12:52:29 PM »
Guys,

First, THANK YOU Mike.  He built me one heck of an engine.  I spent about an hour just looking at it and smiling.

When I showed up at Mike's the engine was covered.  He pulled off the cover and BAM! :o  I was honesty speechless.  I told Mike that I didn't know what to say.

Andy came by and snapped some pics and video.  Email those pics and vids to me Andy, I'll post them.

The engine looked good in Mike's shop, but it really came alive when we brought it outside and the sun hit the polished covers.  Very impressive, very bright, very beautiful.

I'll post pics later.  But you really have to see it in person.  The engine alone could win a bike contest.

I wish that I lived near Boston.  Mike and Andy are GREAT guys.  We could get in a lot of trouble together. ;D

I'm a bit anxious myself to see it in the frame with the bodywork. ;)

Yeah, but does it run?  ;) ;D

Damn guys, I've been gone 16 days and it took me 15 pages or so to get here.

Sparty, you sure had a big grin in those photos. Congrats to you and Mike. A lot of hard work, beer, money, beer, friendship, beer, etc

Sparty,

Considering you rode the Million Dollar CB and Mike will not have ridden your's, you'll be the ultimate judge as to which kicks ass  ;D. Mike better hope he didn't do too good of a job!!

Rx,

Considering that Mike's bike is a 915cc mod with 5mm valve conversion, I think that his engine is stonger than mine will be, but mine should finish a close second.  I may have to opt for a small nitrous kit.  I found a small kit that will add 36 RWHP.

I will not be using NOS this season.  But it might be on the bike next year.  I know that the NOS would be overkill, but it would be cool as hell on the drag strip.  It should get me in the 10s easily or arrested on the street.

A 30 or 35 shot would work well Art. My only concern might be the petcock supplying enough fuel for the nitrous. You would have to go to a Pingel IMO. The engine is built to take and you have the ignition to handle it.

That's what I figure too!!  ;D ;D Do you think if I said I'd won the Boston Lottery that'd work? I don't think that saying I'd won the "head lottery" would do it. Don't think she'd understand  :D ;D :D
