Reminds me of the restaurant scene in "The Blues Brothers" where Jake says to the man at the next table, "How much for the leetle girl"? "How much for the women?"
That's exactly what was going through my mind Terry.
Funny how things change. My grandma was married at 13 in the 1930's(in Ohio, so don't think it's a Southern thing, anyway that's just Alabama
). A friend of mine's mom started dating his dad when she was 13 and he was 16, that would have been in the 1950's.
I think in short that society has changed and childhood has extended into peoples' early twenties. I think it has to do with kids being dependent on their parents through college.
Edited to add: I do think it's creepy. I hope it's a joke.
