It's nice to see 650Z's getting some love.

Nice.

I'm beginning to like the look of the Z frame.
My pegs for the rear rider are welded on(US version). I like the look of those removable ones on your frame.

Again, sorry for lack of response, real busy at the moment. I'd say there is quite a gap, does this picture help?

Oh and not too busy to stop me from getting this far today.... well pleased so far.

It's amazing what little cleaning can do for the look of a bike. I may do a frame-off one of these days...

Leaving most of the engine alone. Had a head gasket leak so that's why the heads off, and I'll re-grind the valves whilst it's apart. Makes life so easy to refit the engine whilst the heads off, I'll tell you.

As for the rest, frames been blasted and powdercoated, I've polished up most of the ali, engine was treated to Simonize 'Wheel Silver' as recommended elsewhere on the forum.
Tank being de-badged and prepped for primer, side panels and tail primed. Still need front mudguard, seat. Otherwise the rest of it is just waiting to be cleaned and re-assembled.

I really like the paint. I'm usually of the "All motorcycles should be black" ilk, but that looks really nice.

Might have to rethink my upcoming paint job.

Hi all, been busy today, all my little 'tidy-up' jobs which never seem to look much at the time are being fitted now - which is always satisfying. Here we are now...

I had the heads off and re-ground the valves, replaced all seals in the top-end, otherwise just cleaned and painted it, or polished as appropriate.
