Nitrous Kit for my CB
« on: September 11, 2007, 07:15:31 PM »
Here is the kit I bought.  A couple of guys wanted to see it.

It can be set for 36 up to 60 HP.  I bought the 12oz. bottle.  It is much smaller than the one in the pic.

A small, wet system...it will work. I wish I knew that when I had the head as I could have tigged and tapped bosses for the nozzles. You can plug them when not in use. I did it on my ex partners bike.

Wanna race? ;D

I won't put it on until the spring.  I need to break the beast in first.  Then I will only use it on the track and on my commute. ;)

The tech guy told me he is sending me additional instructions and that I could expect wheelies in fourth and fifth gear.  I may have to fab a wheelie bar.

I guess I'll be bringing the engine back to Boston then.

Mike, with a wet system, he will need another gas tap will he not ?

Scunny, a bottle of nitrous will last forever if you don't use it.  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

If you do use it, you need a seperate fuel suply to a slenoid that feeds into the inlet tracts, you also have the same for the nitrous.

A bit off topic but worth a laugh.
We were at a drag meeting last weeknd and stayed at a camp site near the track.
We pitched our tents and were making our way to the wash room.
As we passed a large motor home, we heard a voice from inside mutter "where's those bloody frozen peas"
We had to laugh as we knew the guy was on his own.
On our way back, we asked him had he found them, Yes he replied they were hiding in the freezer behind my nitrous bottle. ;D ;D ;D
His name is Keith Parnell, he was the first person this side of the big pond to run in the 8s.
Keith is 70 and still going strong. 8) 8) 8)

Then I will only use it on the track and on my commute. ;).

And trips to the store.  And rides in the evening.  Out to lunch or dinner.

Never at dusk.

I'd like to know too...Sparty, what are the projected performance figures for your bike when all is said and done?

The rear wheel HP with the NOS will be in the neighborhood of 150 RWHP with the 60 shot of NOS.  The RWHP without NOS should be around the low 90s.

Sam,

You are good at everything... that is what we hear on this side of the pond.

I can't wait to see your dyno figures on Chris's bike.  Next week right?
