Swingarm question
« on: September 13, 2007, 01:25:20 AM »
wad there ever a production swingam on any of the cb bikes that was setup for an eye style shock mount  instead of the clevis style? if so would it fit my 72 cb500 without me having to cut on my otherwise unmolested frame?

thanks
Jimmy

the 79 - 83 twin cam models had eye to eye but I do not know if it will fit in your 500. If you're looking to upgrade your shocks try IKON. Just installed a set of cb500 shocks on my cb750 to lower the back a little and they work great. Great service too! http://www.ikonsuspensionusa.com/servlet/StoreFront

750essess, can you be more specific as to which models? I've looked at a few '79-'81 CB750 swingarms on eBay and they all use the eye/clevis setup. I'd really like to use eye-eye shocks as well.

I just looked up the parts fische and you are right they use clevis. I could have sworn mine had eye to eye. My memory isn't what it used to be. I looked up the 94 cb1000 and it has eye to eye shocks maybe that swingarm could work.
