Front fender on a dual disk conversion
« on: September 12, 2007, 03:23:42 PM »
What have people done with the front fender on a dual disk conversion? I have just about everything I need to set up the dual disks (Can I ask for yet another project... it's not like I have anything else going on... ;D ) but looking at the front fender, it does not look like it will fit with the brake set up on the right side.

it fits-- gotta lose the spacers at the mounting bolts if i remember right. tip-- deflate the tire some when installing it, or install the second caliper, etc. with the tire mounted.

i put the metal spacers that go through the rubber mounts in then put a washer on top of that, and bolted though all of it.

this way there is direct pinch pressure on the caliper mount, while still retaining the guard mount set up.

heres a pic to help

hope this helps..

On my K7 the mudguard fits ok - just have to put it on before putting on the calipers
