Wondering
« on: September 12, 2007, 07:05:47 PM »
Hi all . I was just wondering if someone might help me out determining exactly what year the bike I have is.According to the charts its a 72 (I think) :-\.Head stock reads #CB-2063145 and engine #CB750E-2070714.The color chart says theres no red that year and this bike is definitely red?I have a picture on my member id and if anyone has time I'd appreciate there feedback.Are the pipes stock as they don't look like any of the pics I've seen here.Just wondering.
Thanks,
Mike

Hi Mike, stock pipes are all four into four as far as I know unless its a later "F" model.  ;)

It's a 1972 CB750-K2; product code 341:

CB750K2 72 341 CB750-2000001- CB750E-2000001-
CB750K3 73 341 CB750-2200001- CB750E-2200001-

...and in 1972, you had two paint options:

1972 CB750

Flake Sunrise Orange Candy Orange:
HC-16-202 Flake Silver Basecoat
UC-16-103 Candy Silver Basecoat
UC-16-100

Brier Brown Metallic Brier Brown Metallic:
HM-16-201

I believe they came stock with 4-4 pipes.
Actually runs --> 1975 CB550-K1
