First of all, let me say that I have seen drag bikes on the drag strip and this video has impressed me, mainly because it is easier to see in this one the force of acceleration, as the physical references -plants, people- help to that.
I don't think the guy was a moron. It was simply that the situation got out of control. The guy said he was not the driver, the chick was there, there was a camera filming, and he had spent time and money on the monster. It's normal that he would like to brag a little, so how would not you show how your monster burns a little rubber?
My theory? The guy didn't pretend to brag too much. He started to burnout and the situation was under control. No big deal. Then, the rubber heated up and the grip improved, a little release of pressure in the brake lever, the rear wheel got traction and off it went. He, not used to ride a drag bike and with the body not leaning forward, received a forward thrust that sent his head backwards in a whip. He had enough being able to grab the handlebar, but obviously, unable to grab the brake handle. It was over in the blink of an eye.
The bike can be fixed with more money, but not his self steem.
Impressing bike BTW. The girl, even when is cute, is not really something to write home about.
