Well thats what i was told by the guy who sold them to me. I looked it up on hondaparts direct and they only show a 2004 f4, no separate diagram for the f4i so I guess they where the same fork. EDIT: found a pic it is conventional fork.

i'm wondering what you used for the rear disc.  i have seen one conversion, but i cannot remember where right now.  i have everything but the adapter to go from drum to disc for mine, even if it is from a yamaha.

The rear looks stock. The F's had the rear disk rather than drum. Cycle-X had a drum to disk conversion, but make sure your finances are in order before even looking at it...

man that is an awesome F m8, how do you have a register on the adapter plates to get the discs to rung true?, was just wondering, also how much room to you have to the spokes from the calipers?... looks bloody tight!!! LOL

How did you arrange the spacers for either side of the wheel?  It is difficult to tell if you are even using any from the pictures but that can't be.  Did you have to machine new ones?  What did you make them out of?  This is the latest challenge I am having with my conversion.  Also - headlight ears and rear sets.  My 900 forks are 45mm; would the ones you have work in my situation?  What are they from?  Rear Sets - did you weld bolts to the frame, tap the frame or run bolts through?  Bike looks clean!

Curious about the steertube. Did you have to swap out the tube with the CB750 unit?

the back is stock.

there are spacers to adapt the disk to the wheel and space them correctly. Sorry but I didnt take measurements, had a local machine shop make them up out of aluminum. There isn't much space between the spokes and the caliper (about 2mm) I was worried about this but nothing has rubbed yet. When I had him make the axle, I had him incorporate the axle spacers into it. It threads together like the stock one.

The steering tube is the one from the 600 but pushed up about 5mm and re-welded.

The rearsets I mounted by drilling a hole through the frame, then I put in a bolt with a nut and welded on both sides. If i where to do this again, I would drill and put a tube in and weld, like the stock mount points are. I'm not sure what they are from. Got them from a junk yard, I think yamaha fz1000 sets.

I dont see why the 900 fork won't work too.

Also note that I didnt set this up for a speedo cable. This is one reason why I went with the motogadget set up. Im not saying it would be impossible to use the mechanical speedo though.

Also a note about the handling. It steers a little quicker and of course rides much metter. The brakes work like a 600cc bike. I have one issue though and that is I have a little wobble going into high speed turns (over 80mph) that I am currently working on. Im going to install the bigger axle from the 600. I also found the spokes and steering stem bearings had loosened up on me. Haven't had a chance to ride it yet to see if has improved.

Thanks everybody for the compliments  Capnspif, how does yours handle? Im still having a problem at higher speeds in turns, doesnt feel like your gonna get spit off or anything, feels like something is flexing for sure.

I haven't been over 60 or so yet. I just got mine on the road and am still dialing in the carbs and suspension settings, plus it's got new tires. Still, it's amazing how quickly it wants to turn - I've got the @ss end of the bike pointing at the sky so it's not a surprise.

Mine handles great until 75 or so. Could you post some pics of your rear swingarm setup and what its from etc.

Thanks, looks great. Might have to do that swingarm conversion this winter. I ended up at at 125 mains and the needle all the way up on mine, pulls very linear all the way to the top. I have the preload about half way and the compression and rebound in the middle.
