Many do it but I've read that it does cause a loss of power and backpressure. I've also read that too little backpressure can eventually cause burnt valves.

HI. YOU WILL HAVE TO REJET (MAIN JETS) TO GET THE PERFORMANCE BACK. YOU MIGHT EVEN HAVE TO CHANGE THE PRIMARY JETS ( UNDER 3000 RPS) FROM #40'S TO #37'S HONDA STILL HAS THEM.
