non-honda rims on a honda 650
« on: September 16, 2007, 03:41:05 PM »
Found a AWESOME source for used rims locally lately(actually been there before, just never went into the shed off in the corner of his buisness)
I am wondering if anyone has fitted yamaha rims off a maxim to a cb650?(mines a 1979)

I am pleased with the reverse stamped comstars as far as using them, but looks could be improved IMO.
the only really affordable (on my limited budget at the moment) rims i found are off a yamaha maxim. He actually has about 10-15 sets of these. the best set is marked for 50.00/set.

Are there any makes of bikes that require little/no modification to get them to fit properly?
I want to be able to re-use my existing rear drive gear(if possible)
