« on: September 17, 2007, 09:23:57 AM »
I have a canister exhaust with a baffle and some sort of insulation/steel material around it that holds the baffle in place......without the baffle real loud...to loud with both to quite the baffle already has alot of holes in it so I dont know how many more I can put in....any ideas.

Just goes to show you the difference of opinions towards "too loud."  I'm running my kerker 4-1 without a baffle, waiting for glass to come in the mail and when it gets here I think it's going on the shelf.  I suppose 3 years around fighter jets explains my love of loud (or deafness toward it).

I LOVED the sound of my old CB750 with the un-baffeled MAC 4 into 1.
When I cut the cannon off completely and just ran a open shorty pipe it sounded like a F1 car on decell.

If I were you I would look into making your own baffle to control the sound you want/don't want..
Something as simple as a piece of metal, then drilling holes in it until you get the volume you want might do the trick for ya !

what about just removing the insulation steel material and leaving the baffle in.

For my personal taste I like quiet but if it's too quiet with the baffles and too loud without. Try removing some of the insulation material and reinstall the baffles. Or maybe remove all of it and get the glass packing material and add layers until it sounds right to you.
