Where am I supposed to stand to catch the bus?
« on: September 18, 2007, 09:33:35 AM »
I would put this in the humor section, but this isn't a joke.  It's a real live sign one block from where I work.  It is on the corner of 4th street and North Boulevard in down town Baton Rouge.

Please help me figure out where I am supposed to stand to catch the bus.

I think you'll be fine as long as you keep moving/running. Probably the best thing to do is to wait for the bus a bit further up the street, and then run along when it passes. When it get's to busstop and opens the door quickly jump in without standing still.
The oposite will also work when getting off the bus at this stop, as long as your not standing or stopping.

"Standing refers to taxis.   "

Or any car sitting with a driver in it waiting for someone.

If you still think the sign is meant for pedestrians, sit on the curb ;D

hehehehe..... I see your point about taxis, but we don't really have taxis here....  There aren't any cab stands here either...

You see where the sign says, "no stopping"?

This pic was taken at a red light....  hmmm, no stopping!  Look in the background.  ???  Guess that means GO for all red lights!

The signs don't say anything about crawling...or kneepads.  ;)

Many people, (including government officials, notably presidents, loosely classified as people), clearly prefer others be on their knees.  Eventually, they will get around to regulating the kneepad thickness, I expect...  For your protection, of course. ::)  Casters on the tops of your shoe toes optional.
