What is the difference between th NOS and the reproduction (pattern), (other than $88.45 US)?

To be advertised as NOS it must truely be "New Old Stock" ie stock from the 70's that is brand new but has been languishing in the corner of a warehouse for the last 30 years.

A lot of people use NOS on eBay and lie, but as a reputable dealer, DSS would not do this (apart from the fact that it is illegal in the UK to misdescribe goods for sale)

Reproduction seats are new manufacture and are cheaper generally due to modern manufacturing costs. There is a strictly limited supply of NOS!  Repro seats may also be made from better (more modern) materials.

their website only shows a price and I was just wondering if anyone had purchased one to share a photo. I have also e-mailed them about it but haven't received a reply. Sounds like DSS is a reputable place as many folks recommend them. I would like to know that the seat has the sewn cover and not the ugly plain kind with the smooth top.

you don't say where in the world you are but I would try ringing them, in my experience they are very knowledgable and honest and would answer any questions you have.

I don't see reproduction for the K1.  K0, K2-K6.

Does anyone know if the pan is correct on reproduction?

Maybe your computer is just having an issue with the DSS website, but here's the picture from the item page for the K1 seat.

and the link to the page:  http://www.davidsilverspares.co.uk/cgi-bin/dss2-cgi/ProdSel.pl

This one is listed under "Genuine Spares".  They don't have a seat listed specifically for the K1 under "Pattern Parts", just the K0 and then some newer models.
