This is too cool to be real.  It's got to be some kind of an internet ruse.  Are you sure of your sources?  Not calling BS on you, but are you sure?

Nice :)  Visually, the designer used elements  of Hondas' past successes and coupled them with the aesthetics of popular contemporary customizers. Thats a good formula - this bike will probably appeal to many.  I like it.  And 1100cc.

Yes very sure of my sources, it's from a Honda press kit.....

Yet, the thing was intro'd as a "prototype", guess that if Honda gets enough mails form sohc4 memebers, it'll help :-)

Let me torture you some more, here's the racy version...

I showed those pictures to several buddies at work and everyone that saw them wants one.

I was at the local Honda dealership a couple of weekends ago and all they had for street bikes was cruisers and sport bikes.  Not that there is anything wrong with either of those, but if you want a cruiser then you should get a Harley in all fairness.  I have been by the Harley dealership and in truth Harley does an amazing job with their cruiser styling and the quality, fit and finish is top notch.  Regarding the sport bikes...  Once you've seen one bike covered in plastic you've seen them all.  And of course there's the touring bikes.  So...

I asked the salesman if they had any standard bikes and he said no.   They did have a very cool retro VFR800.  Sort of a reproduction bike.  Why do I bring all of this up?

Well... I think Honda would do well to capitalize on their own heritage, like Ford, Dodge and GM are doing with the Mustang, Charger, and Camaro line.  Honda has a rich racing and biking tradition.  They should revel in it, and it looks like they are leaning in that direction with these new bikes.

These bikes draw styling cues from the several of the older bikes from the CB750, to the nighthawks, to the newer sport bikes.  They are both beautiful.

I rode a buddy's 2007 Suzuki Boulevard (1800cc I think) a couple months ago.  I'd say it compared very favorably with Harley cruisers in terms of quality, fit and finish, and it was quite a bit less expensive than a comparable top-of-the-line HD.  Suzuki offers all kinds of chrome add-ons, and they have a pretty good aftermarket too.

I'd bet Honda cruisers have even better quality.  I mean, they are Hondas, after all.

The tank borrows from the 400F tank as well.  Notably the forward 2/3.  The rear slope is pure early DOHC 750s, but that tank has a 400F tank in the woodpile.

My God, I wish my wife was out of school.  Maybe when she finally gets out they will be out.  Been looking for a Honda sportbike, I think this is it.

So are these bikes ever gonna be sent over here to the US? Or do we not get the cool bikes like that.

I like both of the 1100s, but I'm only the second to say that the Goldwing looks ridiculous?!?!  (Assuming Shenanigans' comment implies he agrees with me).  I know it's a matter of personal taste, but COME ON!  Do you want to ride a motorcycle or get a piggy-back ride from a robot?

Goldwing:

Not much room for luggage is there?    Or am I missing the point?

Looks a bit like a Rocket 3 on steroids (if you can imagine such a thing)
