Should I cahnge my O-Ring seal on the oil filter housing as standard practice
when I change the filter. DSS supply only the filter but my local supplies both in the one bag.

It hurts to admit when you've made mistakes, But when the're big enough, the pain only lasts a second

well I cant say about the 500s but with the filter housing on the 78K I have, I do not need to change the oring. Unless there is damage to your o-ring, I would not think that you should have to every time.

What I did was order some of each. I got EMGO brand from bikebandit. They are slightly cheaper without the o-rings. Just inspect the o-rings and reuse if not damaged.
