Hey everyone, Im new to this cafe thing and I need to find out where to get stuff!! Ya, I could spend countless more hours searching google....But I thought some folks who have been there and done that would be willing to help!

Where is the best place to get clubman bars[black would be great], and should I go clubman or clip-on?
I need a nice stubby silencer for my 4 into 1
Can I powder coat my 4 into 1 or do I need to ceramic coat
I want to get rid of the Mag wheels and change to spokes. 18 and 19? Who sells them? What size......
I really want to build my own glass cafe seat, any help would be great,... or should I just buy one of Carpy's Dunstal seats and get the bike on the road?!

I know that I sound like Im pretty green...but Im really just super excited about this new hobby and Im ready to get this ball rollin and hit the street!!!
Thanks, any advice would be great!

Hi Dave,

Welcome to the wonderful world of SOHC's.

Instead of searching Google, you should spend an hour or two using the search feature of these forums.

A few members have built their own cafe seats with success and have documented their progress in the discussion threads on this forum.  Doing a search for "cafe seat" I came up with threads like "Cafe Seat Finally Finished!!!" and "how do you fabricate a cafe seat using stock pan?"  Both of these discussions will yield you valuable information.

Doing a quick search for information first will get you results quicker than asking for a response and when you can't find information many folks here are willing to step in and offer advice.  It's helpful if you ask specific questions though.

Most of the info you're looking for is here, and could be at your fingertips with some searching.

If you document your build and post pictures you'll find that members will follow along and post comments.   That becomes a prime opportunity for you to ask specific questions as you go with a high likelyhood of getting a response.

-Wishing you all the best in your build.

Look up Fiberglass seat building. Will learn a great deal.

I have heard lots of detractors on the clip ons as well as clubmans, it is personal style with a healthy dose of real driving time. How you will be driving and how comfortable you will want to be is the crux of the issue. Mock up and sit on it for a while, your arms and back will let you know.

Thanks! I will start searching the threads on this site.Well I guess clubman or clip-on will be a strain on the back, but I will suffer through it for style points!
