This is the last photo I could find It was from spring of 1978.
Left to right:My 77 H-D FXE Superglide..My 1969 BSA Lightning..My fathers 75 CB550..and his 66 Honda 305 Superhawk. Most of the neighbors thought we were a little crazy, but you can't have enough toys.
My father liked his motorcycles, but hated rock and roll music.
My mother didn't care for bikes, but liked rock and roll (That's the front end of her 66 Mustang in the lower edge of the photo), all the radio buttons were set to Detroit area rock stations.
Hey, Great pictures and the last one was also!
And the story that goes with is them, was great too! Always cool to hear about the times like those. As far as the motorcycles go, my Mom married my Dad when all he had for transportation WAS a motorcycle.
Then they liked their Country & Bluegrass music, while I had MY 50's & 60's Rock & Roll!
They did like some of the R & R singers though, like Elvis, Ricky Nelson and Dad liked Chuck Berry's "No Particular Place To Go".
Just a quick note here: My Grandfather got so sick of hearing "409" by the Beach Boys, that he threatened to sail it off across the yard!
I Still have that 45 rpm record by the way.
