Brake Oil Pressure Switch
« on: September 23, 2007, 01:36:19 PM »
I have to really clamp down on the brake for the brake light to come on.  My brakes are bleed and very strong.  What can I do about the switch in the brake line to make it better.

The switch is set to come on at a specific PSI.

Its possible yours has degraded over time....

I had the same problem with mine, I was able to fix it by removing it, spraying some Gumout carb cleaner into it, and taking a small nail and working it around inside, took about 15 minutes of spraying and poking. Put it back on and it has worked like new since.
