Colorado Fall Ride

Anyone interested? Not much time left to cruise the mountains before the colors are gone and it gets cold at altitude.

yea... we gotta get gordo in on this one.  he seems to be having trouble getting away from his mistress... er, um... midwife these days.   :D

saturday or sunday are best for elizabeth.
most days could work for me... the perks of self-employment.

I'm with Heff on the self employment. I normally don't do Saturdays but I booked a half Saturday on 10/6 & 10/20 in Burlington. Other than that I'm open. I can always ride Sundays too. Can you guys get away on a Sunday? What about this weekend either day? Too soon to plan?

Any of you "close to Colorado" guys want to join in? I'm sure we could provide over night accomodations and a beer.

Just found out I have to exclude the weekend of 10/13 too. Being invaded by inlaws.

Not a problem heading north to meet up. Extra riding for me. Just don't start too early since I'll need the extra time. What is the Peak to Peak we're referring to?

Wanna do this Sunday? Probably best for the colors.

Gordon, can you call in sick or are we going to have to do 2 rides?  :)

i would think we would go up canyon road from boulder... to nederland
then take the peak to peak from nederland to estes.
wrap back down to lyons then maybe to my house in lafayette for rest/beer/garaging?

sunday sounds awesome aside from the working man issue... the sooner we ride the better... and, the weather forecast looks like 70's and sunny.

hey guys... not much has happened w/ this thread the last two days since i've been working in the boonies w/out a computer.

rx... what time you thinking you might want to be in the boulder area?

my dad was being kindof whiney the other day about riding w/ a big group of people... i told him there wouldn't be that many of us and, at the moment, i don't really care... he can go or he can not go... it is up to him.  it will be fun and he will miss out if he doesn't.

let's meet somewhere near boulder (so that we can head up canyon to nederland), do the peak to peak from nederland to estes, back thru lyons, then i've got a few backroads from lyons to lafayette where we can BBQ before griff has to make the long haul back home.

if ichiban is still going, we could meet here, swing thru longmont to grab him... then do the same trip i just rattled off (only in reverse)

OR... if ichi wants to host... speak up  ;) ;D

Heffay & Al (Ichiban),

Hope the names are correct. Way I figure it, I'll hook up with Josh and Paul and ride up. I can meet Josh in Franktown at Stagecoach then hook up with Paul (where Paul?). We can ride up to meet you and Ichiban. You 2 guys work out your end and it should work for us. Time? I'd really like to be back on the road and home by dark. How long for the Peak to Peak loop and beers at Heff's?? Would a noon meeting with Heff & Ichiban work? And where??

Looks like a ride!

ok... just talked to pops and, he's most likely a go as well.  as long as the weather cooperates.

let's meet at my place between 11am and noon... if you're not here by 12:30 and you rsvp'd... you'll have some catching up to do!

i've got all the usual (and some unusual) tools and i'll try to be out in the garage by 9 or 10am if you wanna show up early to tighten the chain or rev the motor for the sunday churchheads.

my grill is as good as any if you want steak and eggs in the morn'... b.y.o.steak

let's take the initial planned route from my house thru boulder and nederland, peak to peak, estes thru lyons to gather at ichiban's.

sounds great to me... how 'bout yous?

Cool............ An old guys ride. Your dad shouldn't feel like a chaperone with Ichiban and me along. See you guys in the morning.

Josh - How about meeting at The Stagecoach around 10am?

Paul - Want to meet up and ride north? I don't remember the names of the intersections of I-25 just north of 225. I figure Josh and I will probably ride to Castle Rock from Franktown then head north on I-25.

Terry - Are you in?

Someone call in sick for Gordon then let him know.
