SL350 Fork Tube Sizes ASAP Please
« on: October 01, 2007, 12:27:24 PM »

I need some info ASAP. I know that the SL350K0 had 33mm fork tubes and that the K2 had 35mm fork tubes. What I need to know is, what size are the K1 (71') SL350 tubes? I've got a K2 whose top bridge of the triple tree, has both sides broken where the tubes are clamped into. I found a complete triple tree for a 71' on ebay but I don't want it if the 71' tubes are 33mm, I've got a set for the 33mm tubes. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks.

                                  Later on, Bill :) ;)

Yeah Chris, I've got three (mostly) SL350s. I've got an SL350K0 (in pieces, with a few things missing), a mostly complete 72' SL350K2 and another 72' SL350 K2 that is missing quite a bit, including the motor (I DID get a 72' CB350 motor with it though). The K0 has the triple tree but no forks. I was going to put a set of the 72' forks on that one and also build a 72' pretty close to stock (as close as I can without spending TOO much). Now this info is for parts that   will be for the 72'. From what I can find out (just while ago from a fellow named "piecutter", the K2 had 35mm fork tubes while the others had 33mm tubes. If that's not right, someone correct me with the correct info, please. I thought (that was obviously a mistake) that I was going to win the bid on a complete K0 fork assy. The other fellow got it for $15 more and I was strectching it a bit with my bid, at that.
