Million $ CB on the Dyno (at last)
« on: September 25, 2007, 10:02:52 AM »
Mike sent me these about a year ago and I posted pdf files in the Gallery as I couldn't make my scanner produce a decent jpg (the trace line is coloured and a bit feint). Now I have a new HP scanner with some fancy image enhancement features (and I've been nagged by Bob Wessner and Ben (Uncrash).

So here they are. (How do I reduce the width from 800 to 600?)

Insane. 100Hp . Insane.

I would be dragracing shiny plastic-motorcycles at every trafficlight if I had 100HP. Good thing my bike only has 1/3 of that horsepower.

Bob, it can be done in html within the post. I just can't remember how.

ie, my Triumph has about 100bhp at the wheel, and it's not the traffic light drag that gets you, it's the roll-on 50-100 acceleration. It's a drug... 8)

Edit: Tried again, this time used "find." Cool, it works great.

Geez, what better advert could our very own "Head Master" have for his incredible head work and engine building skills, than these kinds of numbers? Mike should give up his day job, and do this full time! Cheers, Terry. :)
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

The day job is necessary for medical insurance, right Mike.  If you have ever had to pay for family medical insurance, you would get sick to you guts at the price per month.

It all depends on your age and how fast you ride your CB.  For you Sam, it would be a small fortune. ;D

Yeah, my oldest sister lives in the US, and she told me years ago that "Blue Cross" (is that right?) was outrageously expensive.

So the day job pays for medical insurance, or do you get free insurance as part of your salary package? I gave private medical insurance the flick when I left the regular army 6 years ago, the good thing here in Oz is that we have mandatory basic health cover (costs us 1% of our wage) which will cover most things apart from "extras" like dental and optical, so at least if I fall off my bike, they'll fix me! (oh wait, that's covered by my vehicle's third party insurance fee)

I think Sam would be in trouble, a lot of countries now won't allow you to immigrate after a certain age, due to the medical costs that the government will be liable for. Cheers, Terry. :)

It certainly can be if you purchase it for individual, or non-group coverage. I retired from Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Michigan.

Warm beer in Oz? Just leave it outside for 5 minutes mate, you'll burn your bloody lips on it, ha ha! :)

Your company pays your medical insurance? Sounds like a good thing to me mate, is that because working in the security industry makes it more expensive/difficult to get insurance? Cheers, Terry. :)
