Sparty's Drag Strip Exhaust
« on: September 27, 2007, 06:42:12 PM »
Guys,

For normal riding day-to-day I'll be running my Kerker exhaust with the 1.5 comp baffle.  But for the drag strip i'll run this 2 in. exhaust with a very open mesh baffle that I fitted inside the short pipe.  I am sure that I may have to do some jetting changes before I take it on the track.

Top Secret... not really.

I sourced a 2 1/4 inch piece of stainless exhaust pipe.  Cut it to my desired length.  Had a friend inside-roll the edge at his shop and sent it to be chrome plated.  I went to a custom exhaust builder and bought a small sheet of stamped baffle stock (also stainless) and formed it around a piece of 2" PVC pipe.  Had it spot welded together.  Wrapped it with a single layer of glass and packed it into the pipe. Done!
