Some of the prices listed up there seem pretty low to me.
During the 1849 gold rush in California, the people who made the most money were the ones selling shovels.
Aside from Mr Carpy (I'm sure he does good work, but I don't agree with his execution), the people who make money on projects like this are the parts dealers, painters, mechanics, machinists, etc.
Do your own bike up right and keep it as your calling card. See if you can get it into shows and magazines. If not, there's a big part of your education...
