Help to ID a Tank - CB350 twin or four?
« on: October 02, 2007, 08:22:38 AM »
Can anybody ID this tank? I'm told it's from an early 70's CB350 but no idea of whether it's a twin or a four.

If it is from a CB350-four, is it possible to fit this tank on a 400f?

Looks like a Four tank.

No idea if it would fit a 400

Thanks. I think it's for a four too. Don't think the twins ever came in black like that. I assume it will fit on my 400f but wonder if it's the same length as the 400f tank.

A quick crude measurement of your 350F tank would certainly help so I could compare it to my existing 400f tank.

definitely a four. i know the 350 tank fits on the 400 frame, as they are almost identical. can't remember if the seat meets right though. billdramp has one sitting on his 400 frame he's mocking up right now-- i'll ask him when i see him next.

The tanks for the 350 and 400F should swap between frames since the frames were (very nearly) the same, and certainly were the same around the backbone where the tank mounts.

The only issue would be the seat/tank interaction as has been mentioned.

Oh, it's a '74 350F, since the color was the blue/black, which IIRC, was only available for '74.
