Floatvalve without needle spring?
« on: February 21, 2012, 09:44:27 AM »
I just disassembled a flee market set of well preserved Honda CB350F KEIHIN carburetors, and to my surprise there obviously are no internal springs in the float needles – no spring function at the tip pointing at the float!
Have anyone ever observed this?
The float needles on my working Honda CB350F are all spring loaded!

Soak in some carb dip and see if that fixes 'em.
If it's worth doing, it's worth doing twice.

Soaking and also working them over with a heat gun may help soften the varnish also. Some never come back, others I have had, did return to working.

One night in carb cleaner did the job - the spring is working again.
