1977 or 1978 CB-750K Calipers.

I need a pair of 77 - 78 K front calipers.  I had a pair powder coated and they bead blasted the inside.  The piston will now cock and lock in the bore.  New seals don't seem to help.  Where can I get a pair new or used?  When I picked them up I saw they were blasted inside and out.  The guy said we do all of them like that and had no problems. Yeah right.  Any help would be a great help.  I crashed July 12, 2004 and put the bike back together with improvements and the calipers are all I need before I can cruise.  Thank you all in advance.  I need a midnight ride up Lake Shore Drive.

Hey Greg,

      I'm pretty sure the 77-78 K models came with only one disk brake up front. Did you do a dual disk conversion using two K calipers? Or swap in a dual disk set-up from another bike?

I converted my single with another K caliper and rotor with a Goldwing master cylinder.

hey my name is greg and a powder coater did the same thing to my calipers, and it it cocked and locked.  funny world!

Its the heat from the powder coating bake, warps the whole caliper :-(

Well you can use 77 - 78 calipers but the 71 - 76 are not much different. Just get a set of those and seal the inside and then prep and paint the calipers.

Why do you think honda painted them in the first place.
