question full throtle 1980 cb650
« on: October 04, 2007, 07:36:25 AM »
When I am riding every once in a while I pull the throttle really far back but instead of really flying it almost bogs down.....I didnt know if this is because you arent supposed to do this or if there is something wrong with carbs or something else.

The question is what year. Some 750's have accelortor pumps and some don't.

I would check the online parts fiches to see of you have an accel pump. I know Honda used them on the 77 and 78 750s. The pump holds a very small amount of gas so varnish can form much faster there tnan it would in the floatbowl or tank. If you roll on slowly to full hrottle is it smooth?

The pumps hold only a thimble full of fuel so they varnish real easy. If you can reach it, give the rod a push and see if it moves freely and you hear it pushing fuel into he carb throats.

try removing the filter cover.   seems to be a prob on some 650s. I've never had to.
