1985 CB650 Nighthawk engine - single or twin cam?
« on: October 03, 2007, 09:07:02 AM »
Just wondering if a 1985 CB650 Nighthawk engine is single or twin cam.

I'm thinking of building up a 650 top end on a spare 550 bottom end I have. Just want to make sure this engine I have been offered will work. The seller isn't sure if it is single or twin cam!

Most likely its a dual BUT in the non USA market they did run out the single cam untill 84. Sometimes registering was a little behind the model.

Really? That's pretty cool. I'd absolutely love to get ahold of an '84 SOHC Nighthawk. I've only seen SOHC up to '82, with '83 being the first for the DOHC 650.
