Cheap K&N filters
« on: August 29, 2007, 09:54:29 AM »
I was in the market for some K&Ns for my CL350. I bought some RC-2580 model filters from Amazon.com. Just google the model number and amazon and you should find it.

$11 each!

It has the dimensions at the bottom. These filters fit 2" carbs, have a 3 1/8" base and are 2.5" tall. My carbs measured 50mm and I eyeballed the distance. Hopefully these fit. Sadly, they don't arrive until the 8th!

Hey Chris, ever get these on?

I've been following your project over on dotheton.com. Inspirational, to say the least. Hope things are going well with your project.

Yep, they work great.
They even arrived a couple days later.

Chris,

If they dont fit right on you will prob. have to do what I did and take a dremel to the inside of them so they can fit onto the carbs (not a big deal)..

Did the price go up on these, or is it the wrong link.

The current link says these are $27.93 each.

Nope, they slipped right on. I almost bought the ones like you have and took the ProTeal method, but ended up finding my filters for a good price.

When I bought these, they were on sale. I think I paid $27 or so for everything--including shipping. That's why I jumped on them and posted this to the group.

They look pretty cool on the bike. The ones I got have the chrome caps that say K&N.
