Custom led tail lights
« on: May 16, 2011, 02:07:35 PM »
again with the new tech on the old bike....I used 10mm red leds in series of 5 each with a 60 ohm resistor. if you want to use more leds go here for the resistor value

the white wood was the bottom of a drawer. It has a run and stop arrays. Soon I will do my winkers.

How's the brightness on that setup with the lens?  Comparable?  I was considering 10mm whites for a LED Headlight build (for the low beam part, anyway).

i would use 15-20 for a headlight. its slightly dimmer than stock bulbs. i may ad 10 more to the running array

That's awesome!  I like that idea.  I forgot to ask, did you get or make your lens clear?

If you have an AVR programmer (USBminiISP) you could build one of these

I wonder how much it would make a difference as far as visibility goes.
