I have two parts manuals for the cb500. one is for 1971-1975 and gives the part no. for the handle bar as 53100-323-000 for the USA market or 53100-323-620 for the UK market.
The other for 1976 models gives the part no 53100-390-620 but does not specify which market.
Hope this is what you want.

thanks for the quick replies i guess i will use the part no for europe it is a 500p that i have but cannot locate a parts manual for that model even though i think the last 3 digits go to 750 if there is a difference to standard parts but no body stocks them so i have to make do with standard parts.
thanks again

If that is a picture of the P at the side you need the Higher US bars NOT the UK which are a lot lower! Early 750 are almost identical to the US 500 bars. If you have some pictures of what the bike should be like email them direct to me and i will do my best to identify what parts may have been used. Normally the last three digits in the part number deignate different manufacturers but it can be different areas and possibly as you say the different market.

If you would like to PM me with your address I could send you pdf of what info I have. I don't think it is worth trying to eMail it as the cb500 info alone is over 80megs.
