As per SOHC calendar tradition, I will not be hawking the 2008 SOHC Before and After Calendar.  However, new for 2008, Heffay has agreed to try and have a calendar available for purchase through the site if I send him the files- which I plan on doing.  But don't let that stop you from trying to submit your before and after shots (those who haven't) because if selected you recieve the 2008 SOHC Before and After Calendar for free.  gratis.  as a continuation of Sparty's kindness and as a token of my appreciation for your project and the hard work and contribution to our community it represents.

don't tell me its just a calendar

Hey KK, I found a pic of the bare K1 frame my K1 kruiser was born from, (I built my bike entirely from parts, as opposed to the lucky buggers here who had a whole bike to start with) could that be my "before" pic? ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

yeah terry but without neccessity, all that 'fatherhood' ends up in a tissue.   ;D

seriously though, go ahead and submit your before photo, and i will do my best to not let your previous attempts at procuring a false before photo cloud my judgement.  all are welcome, most are worthy, only twelve will be chosen.  take your chances like the rest.

and good luck

Had the fortune of making it into Spartys calendar last year, but hey, one time is no time - two times is a tradition  ;)

Here´s my before and after shots (the black one being the after....)

Cheers

excellent additions to the fray gentlepeople

Okie- youre in luck, work has picked up and looks like it will keep up in November.  I wont stop the submissions until I have time to start the project, however the deadline of the 15th still stands, and any day after that I reserve the right to end the submission period so I can put this badboy together.

Sparty- by any chance, was last years sohc calendar done on a freeware / shareware template of some sort?  it looked classy.  i have looked around and found some cheesy stuff out there.

and feel free to send me high res versions you can send them to

14 days till deadline.  I will probably make the deadline, but will I make the calendar?  Who cares.  I'll still have the bike. :) :)

Got the rear fender and taillight worked out.  Now I have to mount the battery and other electrical stuff.  It WILL be street legal. 8)

That really does look neat mate, well done! I hope it does make the calendar, it's a bit of a change from some of the other bikes! Wouldn't it be good if we could vote for the bikes we'd like to see in the calendar? Cheers, Terry. ;D

so please keep submitting regardless of CCs or style of finished product- if i get too many of anything i will decide based on resolution (usability) and who got there first, or if i cant decide, start a vote thread and let the forum decide for me.

That is so cool! Is that a modified OEM frame mate? I'd like to do something like that, but I need rear suspension as my poor old back is buggered. I see you've got some other interesting bikes there too, including a motorized bicycle? Cool! Cheers, Terry. ;D

Got it finished with 5 days to spare.  I'll probably keep refining it, but at least all of the big stuff is done.
