New to Bikes

Time to introduce myself. I'm a 32 year old male that 1 year ago was given a '74 CB550 by my brother in-law. This was the first bike I ever owned and this bike needs lots of work. Carburetors were filthy, fuel tank has rust inside it, the ignition switch had been removed along with the lock on the tank and seat and the coils are bad. The worst problem is, I have the fever to get it working but I don’t have a lot of time right now. My goal for the next couple of weeks is to just get it to fired up and running. This bike will be my winter project and I look forward to riding it next summer.

Welcome.

Beware, there is no cure.  All who pass these portals are destined to remain infected and plagued...there is no cure for that fever.  It only goes into remission, later to return with a mighty vengeance.   ;D
