Topic: Need help getting back to original headlight..........

I have a 1980 cb650 that when purchased came with a small vetter quicksilver fairing, square headlight and all.
When I bought bike I knew the fairing had to go.  So I was on ebay and found a headlight and mounts from a 1979 cb650.  I purchased it for a very good deal in hopes that it would match right up to my 1980. The fairing came off easy enough but when I go to put the new headlight on it fits right in the the lower mounting holes on the triple tree but the mounts on the top are a far cry from where they should be and I don't know if I am missing some part that would make it all match up or are the headlight and mounts not compatible from 79 to 80??  If anyone out there has good pictures of the headlight and mounts the way that they should look on the 1980 cb650 that would be great. The manual I have does not have good photos. I need these so I can figure out what is missing or if this will even work at all.  If anyone has suggestions about how to get this back to original that would be great as well......

I'm sorry I can't help with your bike.  But, I'm interested in the quicksilver fairing.  What are you plans for it?

According to the parts fiche, the 79 bracket is mounted to the lower tree and upper tree and in 80 the headlight mount is over the fork tubes
