Oh, and I support you bashing ('til eternity) any vendor that does you wrong without recompense or remorse. There's no statute of limitations on "he only screwed me that one time, and ran away". IMO

Chrome all the way. With the rest of the header being shiny, and the rims being shiny, the flat black looks out of place IMO.

They both look nice but I think the chrome looks better on there.

I like the flat black with the bold KERKER in white. I think the proportions of Honda, 550, Kerker scripts work well and the black mega breaks up the chrome and brightness and flows with the black fender. It's a bit more aggressive.

How are the new carbs and intake manifold working out?

Thank you for all your comments and design insight.

It’s clear that either one would look great, but between the two sites that offered feed back, popular opinion is that chrome is the winner.
That makes it easy cause I already have the muffler hanger.

But the question about plaques still remains uncertain.

I've been meaning to ask you; How's that manifold performing? What jetting & needle setting worked best for that setup? I haven't been able to get time on the list lately and I'm not sure if I missed the tuning process.

BTW, I really appreciate the Power-Barn recomendation.
Mike was great to deal with and had that "Can Do" attitude that made it all possible.

The manifold is working excellent, but our weather isn't.
I've only been out twice and need some dyno time before I can confirm jets.
At present I have #60 pilots, 105 mains and the needle in the location delivered.
Air jet is #220 if memory serves me, and it probably doesn't.

Love the carbs though.
Bike fires faster, idles nicer, looks better and blips like a Ferrari.
What else do I need?

Awesome to here the manifolds are working well; that would have been a serious bummer if all that nice maching ended up on the shelf.
Sounds like the jetting is pretty much as they came straight out of the box (if MY memory serves) that's allways a good sign in my book.

Really Jim,

Making us choose between a chrome or black muffler on your machine is like a choosing between a silver or black shoulder back on Megan Fox........I wouldn't kick it out of bed with either one.

I just read your whole thread again. I think you have inspired me to buy a lathe and a mill and teach myself how to use them. I used a lathe once or twice in woodshop in the eight grade. Haha!

I haven’t purchased a mill yet, but the lathe has been invaluable and great for my mental health.
You can pickup some good machines from Grizzly Industrial (http://www.grizzley.com) in Bellingham WA.
