1976 cb750F somewhat crusty project bike
« on: October 14, 2007, 04:01:15 AM »

I have been looking for another cheap CB750.  Since I have collected so many nice spare parts, I figure I should build a second bike.  I was told the bike above is a 1976 cb750F.  Anybody have any guesses if that is what it really is?  What year did they start those black forks with the dual disc front setup and when did the disc rear start? I'm sure it's a mix of some of this and some of that... but I wonder how much of it might be stock. If all goes well I'l go get it in the next few days.

Looks like an F2
F1 - had single front disc, spoke wheels, not comstars.

looks like the "Black Engine," too. I'd agree. F2.

Engine and frame numbers will tell.
