Well,
I found out that the clamps will fit the F2 forks w/o modification.  There will have to be an adaptor made to widen the "bridge" but it shouldn't be too hard.  I'll post some pics when I finally get around to putting this together.

I have not had a chance to check mine on the 72, but they sure did not look like the old K8 was going to see them installed any time soon ::)

I will be keeping an eye on this thread as well.
