HOK ?
that my friend .... is ....... rattle can
the black base coat is low gloss engine enamel , then the flake is the krylon i posted last page . and then lots of clear .. the photos i posted had about 10 coats of clear ... wet sanding with 400 every few coats .
i considered droppin the coin on a proper paint gun this time around .. but .. i don't know .... rattle can is less messy , and cheaper ... it takes longer, and is a lesser quality ...but...
but really the deciding factor was the metal flake .. to do it proper , would require a separate gun , mixing .. mess .. money ...
and the "Glitter Blast" ,as it's called, really is the business , aesthetically.... but you can NOT shoot metal flake through a spray can for very long ... and sometimes not at all .... i had it happen were i open the brand new can of red ,shake the crap out of it , press the nozzle and the spray goes full blast emptying the can all over the floor ... these cans are very unpredictable and sporadic .. i had to do a few spots over again (that's why you can't see the tank yet) ... but, at 5 bucks a pop, it's not the end of the world
