New guy from Oklahoma

Just thought I'd stop in to say hi.

Currently I don't own a bike, but I plan on buying a Honda cb750 soon. I'd like to build me a nice little cafe bike to take out on nice days. Every since I first saw one that was well built, I fell in love with the overall theme & history of these bikes. I hope to learn enough on here to do a complete build from a bare frame to finished product.

A little info on me:

I'm 24yrs old. I work as a Autocad draftsman. The company I work for designs high pressure filter vessels for the oil/gas industry. I am married & have a 4yr old daughter & another daughter due in January. Right now my main mechanical passion is my car. It's a 1999 Pontiac Trans Am WS6. I have spent countless hours workin on it to get it to where it is now. Every mod to the car has been installed by me. No shop has ever turned a wrench on it & I'll be the same way with my bike when I get it.

Current mods to my car are:

Comp 224/224 .581/.581 114(LSA) cam
GM LS7 lifters
5.3L heads port/polished & milled .018" (compression sitting at 11.0:1)
Patriot Gold Dual valvespring kit
stock rockers
Port/Polished Lingenfelter aluminum intake manifold
Port/polished throttle body
MTI air lid
Pacesetter long tube headers (race style- no emissions)
Texas Speed & Performance 3" off-road y-pipe
Hooker Aerochamber muffler
stock short block (107,000 miles on the clock, so almost time for a forged 347)
Thunder Racing 7.400" chromemoly pushrods

Haven't strapped her to the dyno yet, but we are hoping for 420RWHP/400TQ on a decent street tune for pump gas. I'm a gear head by nature, so it was only a matter of time before I found a bike I liked & wanted to rebuild. And now here I am, here to learn.
