not a sohc4 but...
« on: October 19, 2007, 10:28:57 AM »
Hello all.
This is the bike I'm going to restore this winter, a cb 125 s (the J model, I think). I wonder if anyone of you know where to find information about this bike. A forum like this would be great, or any webpages to find workshop manuals, partslists and so on. I did a search through the web but I didn't find too much. Thank you.

You may want to try http://www.servicehonda.com/ for parts and diagrams...

Is that the 2-stroke model?

I had a '74.  Loved it.  Not sure what model I had but I don't remember that kind of tank, seat or exhaust.  Kept losing intake valves though I''m sure I timed it right..  Good luck.

Thanks for the replies. I didn't think to convert it into a cafe racer, but after seeing the pics I'm thinking on. The Don Tai link is very helpful.

Appreciate the confidence there duster but, at the present, I don't have anything on that one and looks like he's getting some info from others. Gotta be out of the house for a bit and then I'll see what I might can dig up to help out though. Take care.

Hello again.
Any information would be appreciated, given that I don't have any information on this model. Even, I don't know exactly which model is. I think that this was made in an italian Honda factory, and the engine and frame numbers don't match any Honda model codes. Most of the model trees of Honda dealers refer to International or American Honda codes. These are the numbers of mine:
FRAME NUMBER
B05424
ENGINE NUMBER
CB 125J 05023
Probably, is the same frame and engine of any other 77-78 125s, but given that it was made by Honda Italy, they have their own numbers. In the bike's documentation, they call it 125J.

Well... this is what is written in this Honda-pizza's VIN: I.A.P. INDUSTRIALE SpA ATESSA. Also, it has a Dell' Orto carburetor. The rest of the bike is japanese... assembled in Italy.
