Busting through my carb rebuild, slow, tedious, but I have it done correctly.

Mounted everything to the rack, bench synced them in, great... Then the trouble starts.

I was tightening down the locknut on the third cylinder carb, all of a sudden I hear a "ping." I thought to myself, "please let that be the locknut backing off and hitting the bench."

Nope, that's the sound of the freakin' slide rod thread snapping about 6 threads down... Nut still attached, peachy, at least I didn't have to search the floor for it...  So, I put a small dab of nail polish on the sucker so at least I can see if this old motor will chirp a little prettier then last time.  Can't wait to de-rack all four carbs.

So, just when stuff is going great, that's when something always has to go wrong.

Also note, I am in need of one of those threaded slide rods.  Cute.  If anyone has a set of cannibalized carbs for K1-5 range they'd be willing to part one off of, let me know.
