I couldn't really afford this bike but I had to have it.
Don't want to be lying back dribbling in a Lazy-Boy in the old-folks home wondering what it
would have been like to put a Z1 through the gears, red lining it all the way.
This bike has 12,500 miles on the clock and the paint is original. A survivor bike.
A repro seat, mirrors, new spokes and a brake rebuild and fork oil, tune up and a good detailing etc, etc, and it will be good to go.
I will have to drop the engine over the winter and strip the not so good engine re-paint off and re-do it. It's a pretty easy resto.
I'm keeping my K0 because it's special to me and has been the source of so much fun over the past few years. Someone said to me the other day that they don't have any passion left for anything. I thought that was a bit sad in a way.
I'm still pretty excited about the vintage Japanese scene here in Christchurch N.Z.
I've met a lot of knowledgeable and interesting people who share my interests, so it's all good.
