I had the pleasure to watch him race and win on the Ducati in the photo at the TT races in 1978, the bike was over for the centenary of the TT earlier this year so I took a snap. The guy in the photo wearing the leathers was also in the race but his bike didn’t finish …it was a Honda!  :o

He looked like he was just out for a sunday afternoon ride, like he wasn't even trying.

          Always been a fan of his from what I'd seen in magazines and what I'd read. I'd never seen him race before. Very impressive racer, for sure! 8)   Thanks for posting. ;)
