That's very different from my 72 CL350  and I mean different.  Older perhaps than 71?

I may be wrong, but I'm thinking early 70's CL175 myself. I'm going researching! ;)

Actually, I'm finding that 68' was the first year and the picture is small, but check it out!

          And compare the 2 Scramblers.

As pointed out, it's a 1967 or '68 CL175. They are fairly sought after in the Honda 160 racing crowd as they are pretty much a 160 on steroids. Bigger valves, hotter cam and a 5 speed gearbox instead of the 160s 4 speed. We've seen reference to there being a 1967 model, but we've only found 1968's. Side by side they are nearly identical to the 160s with the "sloper" stressed member engine and frame. From the outside only the 175s smaller front brake helps give it away. (Yes, smaller) In 1969 the CB and CL175s were redesigned with a new "vertical" motor and cradle type frame making the 175 'sloper' kind of rare. Great little bikes. IMO, if you could grab it for less than a couple hundred bucks, it would be worth it even in that condition.

That would be a 1968 CL175. They came in orange as seen in the top photo and this blue. I got my first one when I was 13 and rode it daily to school for 2 years. I loved it so much, I had to find it's twin 30+ years later. This one is 100% original except for air and tires... :)

In this town there was at least 2   67,s..low numbers.
In western Canada.

 I had to customize mine..lol

Another giveaway  over 160 is the point cover I think it is different.

The worst brake to put on the front of a scrambler, got me in trouble lots on my cl350

Talked to a guy at Bonneville in Sept with a red 160 with toaster tank with a 175 in it.. set up for roasdracing.. he was from Seattle area..

  You are close 754,
The 175s have the tach drive on the right side of the cylinder head. 160s didn't have a tach, so no drive on the head. I forgot about that one.

You talked to someone with a red CL175 roadracer at the salt flats in Sept.?  If it was the one below, it was me.

Cheers, Bret @ Glass from the Past

Bret not that one..it had a red 160 tank with emblems and chrome side panels on the tank.. were you with that guy or did you see him at the vintage races?? Yours looks nice, like the pipe cutout in the fairing..

How were the vintage roadraces..??

Everyday I had parked my 73 750 out at the end of the pavement where you buy your pass. ...mine  was slammed, stretcher and has highpipes on it & was parked beside a 78K.

Had a great time there, was very interesting..

Thanks guys.  Guy wants $100 for it.  I know the motor is locked and I'm sure the inside of the tank is shot (no gas cap)..  Haven't seen it in person, only photos...
