oil plugs inquiry
« on: July 20, 2005, 03:04:26 PM »
 :) CB 500/550

Ahoy savvy board,

this weeks sixty-four-dollar question is: do any of these plugs (let's call them A,B and C):

carry enough pressure to drive an oil pressure sensor or some other gimmicks???

Looking at the drawing below

I'm inclined to say yes they do, but I'm not sure.

The supplementary question is regarding the lubrication path, where the heck do I come out when I stick my finger thrugh the A,B,C plug holes.

If someone can shine a light on any of this, (to help my dim torch)...

Thanks.

"A" & "B" no "C" yes Cant even figure where "A" is, "B" is just a blanking blug for sump--no pressure, "C" is main oil feed gallery plug
Semi Geriatric ex-Honda mechanic and MOT tester (UK version of annual inspection). Garage full of "projects" mostly 500/4 from pre 73 (no road tax in UK).

Hi bryanj, that helps a lot, so "C" I'll use.
Thanks again,
Robert.
