Eugene, OR (pics)
« on: October 25, 2007, 03:08:39 PM »
I have been lurking this website for a few months now and thought this a good time to introduce myself. I am a long time motorcyclist (since 16) and have had many bikes over the years, I have always really enjoyed getting out of town on a bike. I sold my last ride, a 2000 Kawi ZRX, a year or so ago thinking that I may very well be done with bikes at least for awhile. It didn't take long to get the bug again and started looking for a bike. Nothing new really seemed the way to go, that's when a friend told me about an old Honda a friend had, it didn't run but it was all there. Turned out to be a 77 cb750k, I bought it and have had a great time wrenching on and riding it. I am so very pleased with how it rides. I may not post a bunch but I'm always up for a ride through the mountains if your in the area! I have many miles of some of the best roads I have ever ridden and can't imagine ever being witout a bike again, this ones a keeper.

Thanks, I have put some work into it. The bike originaly came with a dealer installed hondaline fairing, When they installed the fairing they cut the turn signal stalks off with a hack saw and bent the headlight ears to clear the fairing. I had to source those parts from ebay etc. I rebuilt the carbs, twice ::), new seals in the fork, rebuilt the front brakes( still has ABS though >:( ). I also switched out the points for a Dyna magnetic setup. New tires...blah, blah, blah. It really came out much better than I had hoped!
