Back from Hiatus
« on: April 22, 2008, 08:21:51 PM »
Hey gang, I'm back from an extended hiatus. I got really disgusted at myself when I didn't get my bike back on the road last summer. I literally did not touch it at all until a few weeks ago. I knew I would when the weather got warmer; I was just out of motivation.

I would have stayed in touch here, but I feel really weird talking about stuff when I'm not actually doing stuff. I'm sure that makes no sense. ;-)

My CB750K is still a couple of weeks away from riding. Late last summer, in preparation for its inspection, I discovered that the horn didn't work. I pulled one questionable wire, then another until the entire harness was off. I rebuilt a harness last year and started mounting it. Much to my surprise, my notes were really good, so I was able to pick up where I left off last fall. What I've got left is all the wiring forward of the coils. It would be a faster job; however, I've been a perfectionist in wiring, soldering and neat cabling.

I'm looking forward to catching up.

Not working on your bike is not a good reason to not converse.  I don't even like motorcycles, I'm just here for the camaraderie.

I'm with the others, it IS good to see you back. Nothing wrong with being a perfectionist. You'll have less chance of a problem and you'll have peace of mind.  ;)

Glad your back Burma, now you know they haven't kicked me off yet.
Even though I'm 750 Hondaless right now. So you should have checked
in since at least you aren't without Honda.

I am looking for a reasonably priced 71 750.  ;D

Welcome back, I was wondering what happened to you. Glad you are OK.
