Pics of inmates' workmanship on my saddle

It's just what the title says.  I am having another seat done for "Project Jasper".  This is the seat on Cassandra.

This post was basically for all you nay-sayers who questioned the quality of work being done at the prison.  Now, THAT'S what I call REHABILITATION.

That is a very nice looking seat.  So, what did it cost you to have it done?

maybe a contraband twinkie with a file hidden inside it?   ;D

That is a really kewl and well done looking seat.  . .stock appearance but with the dip in it - good for us a bit vertically challenged (it is really nice to be able to actually touch the ground with both feet. .  .lol)

Beautiful work, how did you arrange it. Did they do it in real leather

Man, I'd kill to be able to do work like that! Oh wait a minute, they probably did..................  :o ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

As far as what I had to do to get the seat done, I just brought my seat in.  If you are employed by the government of the state of Louisiana, you fill out a work order form, and then the warden of the prison may (or may not) approve the work order form.   My work order form was approved to get the seat done.  After the form is approved, usually the inmate's teacher tells you what supplies are needed for the work order to be completed.  In this case, the upholstery shop had extra vinyl on hand.  All I had to do was bring in my seat.  The seat cost me nothing.

I'm waiting to get another work order signed by the warden.  I want a cafe racer seat for Project Jasper

I don't know if any other states allow you to bring stuff into the prison for it to be worked on.  In Louisiana, you don't have to be employed by the prison, you just have to be employed by the state govenment.   If you or someone you know works for the state, and d you need some work done, it might be worth checking out.

Right now I have 2 tanks and 4 side covers being painted at Dixon Correctional.  I have another seat that I want to get re-covered at La Corr Inst for Women.  Angola has a mechanic shop, but I don't know if I want to trust the inmates to address my hard starting g problem (probably carbs)...  who knows...  we'll see...
